Automatic Number Plate Recognition - ANPR
As part of overall CCTV integration, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems have become an increasingly useful application. Initially used by Police forces around the UK, many car parks and factory complexes now use this technology.
Avigilon have developed a system utilising their Mega Pixel CCTV systems. There are two options to their system.
A dedicated camera to purely record number plates, either single lane or dual lane.
Alternatively, a 1 megapixel area within a street scene, overlaid on one of Avigilons Mega-pixel CCTV cameras will also record number plates. Follow this link for more info
